Our story

A warm welcome to The Baking Tree.

I’m Becca Ford - part-time food writer and mum of two. 

The Baking Tree is a small cottage industry born in 2012 out of a passion for baking and many messy hours in the kitchen with my own two children. Having trained first and foremost as a Cordon Bleu chef, my desire was to create a range of simple yet stylish, home baked cakes with the primary focus being that of flavour and texture.

The Baking Tree offers bespoke, handmade Cake Pops for all occasions from corporate events to children’s birthday parties, weddings, festivals and christenings as well as supplying many local cafes and establishments in the Surrey area.

From small beginnings we now have a unique array of 20 mouth-watering flavours to choose from, Classic to our new Dessert range, all baked to order from our kitchen in Surrey.

Due to the success of the Cake Pops, and being constantly asked how to make them, I have also developed a Cake Pop making kit. This is now one of an exciting range of home Baking Kits for children (as previously seen in Harrods) available to buy from our Shop. Each kit provides all the necessary ingredients (with the exception of butter and egg), tools and colourful step-by-step instructions to inspire bakers of all ages.
